Our story

Named for light, through a veil.

Lucenveil comes from lucen, meaning light, and veil, the thin layer that softens it. We believe the feel of a room depends less on what's in it than on how the light falls, so we only make things that shape that light: sheer fabrics, warm lamps and linens that catch the glow.
